So let's talk dating for 5 seconds, give or take. I do not particularly enjoy being set up on blind dates. I don't really know why, but I don't. Kind of like looking up random videos on youtube---I don't know why but it's just not my thing.
But you know what I really don't like? Being set up on a blind date without being told. Such was the case this evening. The friend I thought was my date, randomly introduced me to his roommate, said something to the effect of introducing me to my "blind date" and walked away. Now mind you, I haven't slept more than 12 hours in 2 days and to be honest, I could have easily gone to bed this evening at 7:30 so I was a little slow on the uptake and literally was very confused for a good 10 minutes, trying to take in what was going on. My friend never said a thing about a blind date, so please, just try to imagine what was going on in my head: What? He's my....I'm on....You....what? Wait, he's my date? I'm confused. Are you serious? What the...really? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I'm on a blind date!!! No one told me!!!!!!! What...? I...uh...ok. Uh, right, blind date. Ok. This could be awkward. Right. Ok. Snap into it. UH..... Hopefully I recovered gracefully and thankfully I was able to wrap my head around it quickly and act like it wasn't a big deal (which it really wasn't but it was a hard, sneaky curveball that I definitely did not see coming), but it totally threw me for a loop. TOTALLY. Thankfully my blind date was really cool and we had fun, but seriously, don't ever do that to me. Don't.

I was trying to leave a comment, but nothing was coming to me that could really convey what I was thinking...
Thank goodness you had fun!
