It's been a bit of a surreal, bittersweet experience. I will miss some very special people back in Tucson but I'm tickled to be back in New England. Day 3 we drove through Pennsylvania and I was as happy as clam with the humidity. I basically was hanging out of the passenger window like a dog beaming. I'm weird; I embrace it.
At 10pm we rolled into the driveway and already had unlocked the doors and thrown off my seatbelt. I bolted from the car (a little unsteady for driving for 8 hours), ran into the house and shouted, "MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!"
Yesterday we hit up my all-time favorite ice cream place--Lago's--and made a visit to the ocean. I am complete. Today I busted out my kayak and took her on her maiden voyage on the lake. It was perfect. I fell asleep twice just drifting with the current. Oh happiness!
Also I thought I should let you know: I COMPLETED MY DIETETIC INTERNSHIP!!!!!!!!!!! Next up: RD exam.
