Alas, this week has been interesting for a variety of reasons, none of which I will bore you with but allow me to just say how grateful I am for my dear friends, my incredible mom, and my amazing brothers. I am one spoiled and blessed girl. Anyways, I attempted to make a Hostess Cupcake Cake, from Crepes of Wrath (click it! DO it!). This is what it is supposed to look like:
And this is what mine actually looks like:
I know it's not horrible, but it doesn't look like the picture! I know, I know, it's my first time making it (4 layers!!!), but I am a perfectionist and it didn't turn out like the picture. Next time. Plus I was missing a key tool to spread the frosting without killing the cake and I was too impatient to wait for it to cool down completely. The cake and frosting tasted good (I had to sample as I made it!) though so hopefully together it tastes alright. My roommates and friends have agreed to be my guinea pigs. Muah ahahahahah!
