It IS coming...

Like my friend Erinn recently wrote about, football season is upon us and like her and her husband, I'm getting very excited. With the coming fall season also means baseball playoff games, the World Series, finalizing trades, and, my personal favorite, the beginning of basketball season. Hello Celtics and Jimmer.

So every day I read the Boston Globe. Ok, actually I skim the headlines and usually skip straight to the sports section.

I know, shocking.

So I thought I should let you know...and since it brought pure bliss to my heart... according to Forbes, Red Sox fans are the best sports fans. Sweet! And if you've 1) never been around me or 2) never been to Boston, you really don't understand. You have to be there to believe it. Yankees fans-#14 (take that Erinn!!! Muah ahaha!) and Lakers fans-#12, Celtics fans-#7, Patriots fans-#5, and Steelers fans-#2.

Also the Celtics are seriously closing in a deal with, wait for it, Shaq? Really? I have mixed feelings about this. I mean he was good but his days of stardom are quickly coming to an end (retirement anytime soon?). His foul shooting percentage is dismal. IF he becomes a Celtic, he better step up to the plate. Oh boy. Oh man. Oh geez.

“Being a sports fan is a complex matter, in part irrational but not unworthy, a relief from the seriousness of the real world, with its unending pressures and often grave obligations.”-Richard Gilman

Couldn't have said it better myself Rich.

Gabe, haven't you been told not to believe everything you read on the internet?

Also, Forbes still doesn't change this fact -
W L Pct.
NY Yankees 69 42 .622
Boston 64 49 .566

Or the World Series for that matter...
