I love quotes.

"In all of living, have much fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." -President Gordon B. Hinckley

I like quotes. I have an ever growing collection of quotes that I began years and years ago. I love quotes because in 5 words, a short phrase, or a paragraph, someone has the ability to uplift, inspire, and motivate me. I also love President Gordon B. Hinckley. He passed away last year but he is a man who has forever changed my life. I miss him.

My friends, this past week has been just, just, bah! There's not even a word for it! It's just been. It's been incredible and frustrating, fun and confusing. I guess it's been typical. That's just life.

Happy moment #1: For my clinical nutrition class, I, with 3 other classmates, had to research a disease (ARDS-acute respiratory distress syndrome---add this to your list of complications/diseases NEVER to get...), write a 20 page paper, and teach the class. Mind you, I despise public speaking. I hyperventilate, I panick, I stutter, I speak fast, and I can't breathe. ALso, my professor for this class intimidates me like no person has ever intimidated me. You can only imagine how the combination of public speaking plus my professor turned me quite quickly into a nervous wreck. Nevertheless, my group and I did the assignment, I taught my sections and life moved on. Today I got my grade:
Yes friends, my terrifying teacher gave me a compliment. This means a lot to me because not only did I get a good grade but I DID IT!!!!!!!! And she said I was calm! HA!!!!!!! WAHOO!!! YIPEE!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCORE!!!!!!!!!! WAHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!Yes when I got this I was soooooaring!

Happy Moment #2: So I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, aka I'm Mormon. It's awesome. A new temple was just completed and that means before it's dedicated, anyone can go through it. After it's been dedicated, only worthy, temple-recommend holding church members are allowed inside. I got to go through the Boston temple in 2000. This is an experience like none other. I can't even describe it. It was AMAZING! I got to go through the temple last night with my roommate and her cousin. It was beautiful and fun and amazing and incredible and inspiring and wonderful, just wonderful! Anyways, life is peachy--a little rotten here and there but mostly just delicious.

Congrats on the fabulous presentation! When I was taking Hist 221 I brought my returned assignments home to my parents, just so they could see the nice comments from my professor. Maybe I'm pathetic.

Also, I've been wanting to go through the Draper temple SO BADLY. But we can never make it out there. Sigh.
We'll just have to go sometime after it's dedicated.

Rachel-I don't think you are pathetic. I posted that on my fridge for all my roommates to see AND I called my mom AND I posted it online. Pathetic? Perhaps but do I care? NOPE! I DID IT!!!!! This is a historic moment in my life and I'm sharing it with everyone! WAHOO!!!!
